This mouthpiece can rotate on the horizontal, allowing the cheek piece to move independently, thereby the horse can set the port where it finds the mouthpiece most comfortable… removing further tongue pressure.
Cheekpiece:
The BE Liverpool FX applies both poll pressure and leverage to the mouthpiece. The lower the rein is attached the stronger the leverage and poll pressure will be. Cheek pressure provides additional emphasis to the lateral aids.
The BE Liverpool FX is available with 2 or 3 slots to allow more options for increasing/decreasing pressure. The cheekpiece is fixed and not able to rotate.
Mouthpiece:
The first choice for starting any young horse, it is easily accepted, it gives tongue relief, it’s light, non-metal and encourages salivation. If in doubt go with the Bombers suggested thickness for your width. The 4 available ports have been scaled according to each width. This ensures accurate fitting over the bars and eliminates the rocking movement which occurs when the port is too wide.
